DARTMOUTH and USA LACROSSE Wills would go on to win again in 2013, leading Team USA to its second straight FIL World Cup, this time coming in suburban Toronto. Wills started all seven games, earning wins in each. She only had to make 11 saves in those appearances as she split time in the circle with Megan Huether (Duke '06). The low shots against figure was the result of a dominant US performance throughout the tournament that led to a goal differential of +93 (127-34) in those seven outings. Former goalie Julie Wadland '10 spent two years on the US Developmental team and former All-Ivy defender Colleen Olsen '10 is currently on the 2010-11 national team along with Wills. Head Coach Amy Patton served as head of the US Developmental Team from 2006-2009. |

| “My experiences at Dartmouth prepared me for international play on many levels. Having Amy be familiar with US Lacrosse enabled her to implement the type of training I needed to take my abilities to the next level. It was my dream prior to college to play for the US Team in a World Cup and the daily life of Dartmouth lacrosse was vital in teaching me about the type of preparation and commitment needed to realize that dream. My Dartmouth team- mates have been a tremendous support in all my national team endeavors. They pushed me not only to be a better player, but a bet- ter teammate. I feel lucky to have a fellow alum, Whitney Douthett, wearing Red, White and Blue with me, though I know we both still bleed Green. Through the World Cup and beyond, Dartmouth lacrosse has helped me be prepared for whatever may come next.” - Devon Wills '06 |
