Bulldogs Sweep Big Green Women for Class of 1985 Cup

BOSTON - The Dartmouth women's crew defeated Boston University in all four races today, but came up short in each against Ivy foe Yale.

Races were contested on a 2000 m course on the Charles River.

Yale took home the Class of 1985 Cup in the varsity race, winning in a time of 6:50.1 ahead of Dartmouth in 6:58.1. The Big Green was more than 10 seconds ahead of Boston U, which finished in 7:09.6.

The day also featured a varsity four race, which Yale won in 7:53.1. Dartmouth took second in 8:06.3 with two Boston University boats in third and fourth places.

The Bulldogs also won the second varsity eight in 7:02.5 with Dartmouth second in 7:09.7 and Boston third in 7:25.0. Yale cleanly won the third varsity eight race in 7:28.1 with the Big Green second in 7:51.2.

Dartmouth returns to the Charles next Saturday to take on Radcliffe (Harvard), Syracuse, Minnesota and Ohio State in a big regatta.
