Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Troy Crema Jr., Toronto, Ontario, F, Ice Hockey
Crema led all of ECAC Hockey in points over the weekend as he had five in games against Yale and Brown. His four assists against Brown not only set a new career high, but also were the most by any player in the league over the course of Friday and Saturday nights. He added his first goal of the season the following evening against Yale and surpassed his point total from last season (1-3-4) in just the two home games (1-4-5). His plus-5 rating was also the highest in the league during that time.
Audrey Perez, Jr., San Antonio, Texas, Prop, Rugby
Perez was an integral part of Dartmouth's win on Sunday in the Ivy Rugby Conference Championship Game against Brown at Brophy Field. Perez broke the 12-12 tie and capped the comeback with a try in extra time to give the Big Green their first lead of the day. Her score proved to be the difference in the 19-12 win that helped the team capture the conference crown in their first season at the varsity level and avenge last season's loss to the Bears in the title match.
