PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth women's rowing competed in the Ivy League Invitational on Sunday, rowing in the Class of 1984 Plaque against Princeton and Penn in the morning, before racing against Brown in the afternoon.
Dartmouth vs. Princeton/Penn
Two Big Green crews raced in the 2V4, placing fourth (8:04.6) and fifth (8:15.6). Dartmouth fared well in the V4, placing second (7:45.9) and finishing behind Princeton.
The Tigers retained the Class of 1984 Plaque by virtue of their win in the V8 (6:25.3). They were followed by Radcliffe (6:29.0), Penn (6:42.0) and Dartmouth (6:45.3) in fourth. In the Green's final race of the morning, the 2V8, Dartmouth was fourth (6:52.1), coming in less than six seconds behind Penn.
Dartmouth vs. Brown
After a break, the Green returned to the water to race the Bears. First up in the 2V4, Dartmouth entered two boats and finished in second (7:52.6) and third (8:00.9). The Big Green's V4 placed second with a time of 7:28.5, completing the course soon after Brown in first.
Dartmouth's 2V8 was third (6:51.2), coming in after a pair of the Bears' boats, while the Green was second in the V8 with a time of 6:37.1.
Next Saturday, April 13, Dartmouth will host Boston University.
