Heavyweight Earns Automatic Bid to IRA National Championship

Lightweight will also compete that weekend
HANOVER, N.H. – The field of 24 has been set for the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship in Gold River, California beginning on May 30th through June 2nd. Dartmouth earned an automatic bid and will be the 11th seed after finishing ninth in the EARC Sprints.  Â
Dartmouth will race in the third heat in lane three against California, Princeton, Stanford, FIT and Hobart. The Big Green's heat is the only group consisting of all automatic qualifiers.
The Big Green's First V8 enters the National Championship as the No. 10 ranked team in the nation in the latest poll.
Dartmouth's lightweight team will also travel to California to compete in races starting on May 30th.
