THIS WEEKEND
Dartmouth women's rugby is playing on the road again, this time traveling to New York to take on Army West Point.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green kicked off their first of two road weekends with a 50-10 win over Quinnipiac. This was the largest margin of victory that Dartmouth has had in the seven years the teams have been playing each other.
Lilly Durbin led the team with 20 points from four tries, while four other players ended up with five points from one try apiece.
Kristin Bitter had four conversions for a total of eight points.
The Big Green got through the first 66 minutes of the game with 50 points from tries by
Sophia Haley,
Seven Sassano, Durbin (4),
Sophie Ragg and Margot Généreux, all while keeping the home team off the board. In the final five minutes, the Bobcats scored twice.
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
Army is 2-0 following rather dramatic wins over Brown (26-19, OT) and Coast Guard (102-5). In the game against the Bears, the Black Knights had a 67-0 lead after 40 minutes, but didn't stop there, scoring 35 more points in the second half. Fourteen different players contributed to that score.
LAST TIME AGAINST ARMY
On Oct. 5, 2019,
Ariana Ramsey scored a pair of tries in the 39-19 loss to Army at Brophy Field.
Ramsey led the team for the third game in a row, ending up with 10 points. Bitter was right behind with nine points from one try and two good kicks.
WHO WILL IT BE?
The match on Sunday will be a tiebreaker, as the series is currently 3-3. Prior to that loss in 2019, the Big Green had defeated the Black Knights three times in a row, whereas Army had opened the series with two straight wins back in 2016.
