EVANSTON, Ill. – The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team fell to #4 Northwestern, 18-8, in non-conference action on Monday evening at Ryan Fieldhouse.

Dartmouth moves to 2-4 while Northwestern improves to 7-2.

Katie Elders led the Big Green in scoring with three goals.
Lucy Murray scored two and assisted two, while
Katina Christensen added two more and
Anna Griffith scored one.
Rosie McCarthy provided two assists and
Gisele Todd finished with a career high 18 saves.

Lauren Gilbert led the Wildcats with six goals. Erin Coykendall added three goals and two assists while Jill Girardi scored one and assisted on three. Northwestern finished with 12 caused turnovers.

Dartmouth jumped out to an early 2-0 lead inside the opening 3:01.
Katina Christensen put the Big
Green ahead at the 13:24 mark for her 11
th of the season, with
Lucy Murray chipping in an assist.
Anna Griffith added to the lead roughly 90 seconds later when she scored her fourth of the year on a free position shot.

The Wildcats answered with the final six goals of the first quarter with two coming from Dylan Amonte. Northwestern scored another six in the second to extend the lead. Christensen added her second of the game with just 44 seconds remaining in the first half to end the Northwestern scoring run.

It was a low-scoring third quarter compared to the first two as there were only four goals scored. The Wildcats scored the first two before the Big Green took the final two, both of which came from Murray. Dartmouth scored their third in a row when
Katie Elders got on the board just over two minutes into the final frame, with Murray adding another assist.

After Erin Coykendall scored her second of the game to end the Dartmouth run, Elders grabbed her second of the quarter while
Rosie McCarthy picked up her second assist. Elders completed the fourth quarter hat-trick with 4:18 left in the game to close out the scoring for the Big Green. Todd finished the final frame with nine saves.

Todd's 18 saves makes this the fourth time this season in which she has made 10+ saves in a game.
Maja Desmond had four caused turnovers while
Sophia Franco had four ground balls.
