HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team fell to Penn, 12-4, in Ivy League action on Saturday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field.

Dartmouth moves to 3-10, 1-5 while Penn improves to 5-9, 2-4.

Katina Christensen each scored for the Big Green. Griffith's goal in the third quarter and Christensen's goal in the fourth both happened with under five seconds remaining.

Maja Desmond had six draw controls, two ground balls, and one caused turnover.
Gisele Todd and
Becca Wade combined for seven saves in goal for Dartmouth. Todd also led the team in caused turnovers (2) and ground balls (7).

Keeley Block led the way for Penn with eight points, four goals and four assists. Anna Brandt scored four goals, including a hat-trick in the first quarter. Krissy Kowalski made 10 saves in goal.

The Quakers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the opening quarter, getting a first quarter hat-trick from Anna Brandt.

Penn added three more in the second quarter. Dartmouth got on the board with roughly 45 seconds to go until halftime.
Jev Ward got possession of the ball behind the goal and brought out to the right side. Ward shimmied around the Penn defender before firing it into the back of the net.

After the Quakers scored twice in the third quarter, the Big Green scored another late goal towards the very end of the period.
Rosie McCarthy made a perfect pass through the Penn defense to Griffith, who got the shot off with under five seconds to go in the quarter.

The Big Green scored the final two goals of the game, both coming under 90 seconds remaining. Begley picked up a loose ball at the top of the arc and ran through the Penn defense before ripping a shot past Penn goaltender Kowalski. After receiving a pass from
Julia Mastrio, Christensen moved towards goal with several spin moves around the Quakers and scored with just 4.8 seconds left.
