Fifteen Big Green Named CRCA Scholar-Athletes

Over 1,000 total student-athletes representing 111 institutions earned 2023 CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors
HANOVER, N.H. — For their success in the classroom, an impressive 15 members of the Dartmouth women's rowing team have been named CRCA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association late last week. It's a jump from 10 Big Green honorees one year ago.Â
To qualify, student-athletes must meet both academic and athletic requirements, such as being in at least their second of eligibility and maintaining an average cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Additionally, student-athletes must have rowed in their institution's NCAA or IRA (lightweight) eligible boats for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or race in an NCAA Boat at their Conference Championship/NCAA Championship.Â
Among Dartmouth's 15 honorees were five seniors: Jessie Duckworth, Madeleine Grussing, Lucy Handy, Haley Leversedge and Margaret Moreland. Handy was also named Academic All-Ivy following the season for a second straight year.Â
