CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – In an Ivy League contest, the Dartmouth women's lacrosse team fell by a 16-11 margin to No. 24 Harvard on Saturday afternoon at Jordan Field.Â

Katina Christensen and
Fiona O'Keeffe both netted three goals.
Katie Elders collected two goals, and
Catherine Erb and
Jenna Donohue put a goal past the keeper.
Lucy Murray collected two points with a goal and an assist.Â

Defensively,
Maja Desmond and Christensen collected four groundballs each. Desmond also tallied two draw controls and caused one turnover.
Maya Kendall collected seven draw controls and
Mia Puccio collected three.Â

Goalkeeper
Gisele Todd collected seven saves and a groundball in 60 minutes of play.Â

With the loss, the Big Green fall to 6-4 overall and 0-3 in league play. Meanwhile, the Crimson improves to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.Â

Dartmouth was first to score but Harvard quickly responded with a four-goal run to close the quarter 4-1. In the second quarter, the Big Green and Crimson exchanged some goals before Harvard responded with three straight goals. Dartmouth trailed 8-3 going into halftime.Â

At the start of the second half, O'Keeffe and Christensen scored back-to-back goals, 8-5. Harvard went on to outscore Dartmouth before the third quarter ended, 13-5. At the start of the last frame, the Big Green scored three unanswered goals, 13-9. The Crimson were able to put two more goals in the cage. Dartmouth found two more scoring opportunities, but Harvard scored another goal to seal the 16-11 victory.Â
The Big Green are idle to play as they travel to Rhode Island on Saturday, April 6 to take on Brown in Ivy League actions. The first draw is at 1 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.Â
