PRINCETON, N.J. – Despite winning the second half of the game 8-2, the Dartmouth women's lacrosse team fell to No. 17 Princeton by a 17-11 margin on Saturday afternoon.Â

Fiona O'Keeffe all collected three points on two goals and an assist.
Catherine Erb and
Katie Elders netted a goal and
Lucy Murray netted a goal and two assists.
Annie Small scored a career-high of two goals.Â

With the loss, the Big Green fall to 7-6 overall and 1-5 in league play. Meanwhile, Princeton improves to 9-5 overall and 5-1 in Ivy play.Â

Princeton held a 9-0 lead over Dartmouth at the end of the first quarter. At the start of the second quarter, O'Keeffe and Christensen found the back of the cage, 9-2. With another goal by the Tigers,
Annie Small responded back scoring her third goal of the year, 10-3. Princeton went on a five-goal run to take the 15-3 lead going to halftime.Â

At the start of the second half, Christensen and O'Keeffe scored back-to-back goals, 15-5. With a man-up opportunity, Erb put one past the keeper to close the third quarter, 16-6. In the last frame, Dartmouth outscored Princeton 5-1 with two goals from Desmond and goals from Murray, Elders, and Small. Ultimately, Princeton's first-quarter performance sealed the 17-7 victory over the Big Green.Â

Dartmouth comes back home for Senior Day to take on Penn on Saturday, April 27 at 12 p.m. at Scully-Fahey Field.Â
