HANOVER, N.H. — Senior
Colin Glew of the Dartmouth men's heavyweight rowing team has been named to the Academic All-Ivy team, as announced on Thursday. Glew has enjoyed strong success, on and off the water, owning a very high grade point average while rowing in the Big Green's second varsity eight, which recently earned a bronze medal at Eastern Sprints.
Glew was in the five seat at Eastern Sprints. The 2V first edged Brown (5:34.512 to 5:34.844) in the morning heat to earn a spot in the grand final. The Big Green then placed third in that final, with a time of 5:38.626, just ahead of Syracuse (5:38.626) and Yale (5:40.162). Dartmouth's 2V was ranked seventh heading into the weekend. The 2V was also named The Richards Group Men's Athletes of the Week.
The Big Green return to action next Friday, May 31, which kicks off the IRA National Regatta at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey.
