HANOVER, N.H. -The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team fell 14-8 to No. 22 Harvard in its Ivy League home opener at Scully-Fahey Field on Sunday afternoon.
"We had a good first half; our first quarter, we were really firing on all cylinders and sticking to the game plan and doing what we know how to do." Josie Harper Head Coach of Women's Lacrosse Alex McFadden said.Â
The Big Green had their foot on the gas entering the game, scoring four goals while holding Harvard to two. Dartmouth extended its lead by three in the second period, while the Crimson returned the favor with three goals of its own.
Harvard entered the half with an offensive spark, going on a 9-1 run to earn their first Ivy League victory.Â
The Big Green are heading west this week to open a stretch of neutral site games in Houston, Texas. They will play Arizona State for the first time in program history on Friday, followed by a game against Colorado on Sunday.
