CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. - The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team fell 16-3 to No. 1 Boston College on Tuesday evening, marking its first loss of the season.
The Eagles struck first, building a 9-0 lead going into halftime. Mia Puccio scored the first goal for Dartmouth in the third quarter, bringing the score to 13-1.
With a running clock, Boston College scored three more goals in the fourth quarter before Dartmouth had an offensive spark. Catherine Erb scored two back-to-back goals, assisted by Samantha Bennett and Katina Christensen, to bring the final score to 16-3.
Goalkeeper Gisele Todd stood out for the Big Green, totaling 11 saves.
The Big Green will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., on Saturday to face No. 20 Penn in their first conference game of the season.
