NEW YORK - The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team picked up its final road win of the regular season on Saturday afternoon, besting Columbia in a dominant 13-6 victory
Maya Kendall had 13 draw controls, bringing her to 170 on the season, setting a new program and Ivy League record in single-season draw controls. The previous league record of 160 was set by Dartmouth's Kathryn Giroux in 2019.Â
Gisele Todd also hit a major milestone, collecting 9 saves to surpass 500 career saves. Todd is the fourth goalkeeper in program history to earn this accomplishment, with the last being Kristen Giovanniello '14.Â
Dartmouth scored the first goal in the first minute of the game before Columbia took what would be its only lead of the game with back-to-back goals. The Big Green held the Lions to two goals through the first half, going on an 8-0 run before Columbia added another point to the board.Â
In the fourth period, Dartmouth went 4-1 to increase its lead to nine points before the Lions scored two more goals in a late attempt to chip away at the deficit, bringing the final score to 13-6.
The Big Green will host No. 5 Princeton for their senior day and final home game of the season next Saturday at noon.Â
