Kristen Barry was voted to the All-Ivy League first team last spring after tying for the team lead with 37 goals and finishing third on the squad with 46 points. She twice exploded for six goals, in wins over Cornell and Harvard. She also had four goals against Yale and four more against Brown. She had multiple goals in 10 of 16 games. She begins her senior season tied for 10th on the Big Green chart for career goals with 109 and 14th in career points with 129. As a sophomore she was voted to the All-Ivy League honorable-mention squad after leading the Big Green with 40 goals. Moved farther up in the attack after Dartmouth’s slow start, she responded by finishing the year with 47 points, second on the team. She had two goals in the semifinal win over Notre Dame and tallied the first goal of the national championship game . She had a torrid four-game stretch late in the season when she scored 16 goals including a five-goal outburst against Boston College. In her first college season she registered 32 goals and four assists for 36 points, third-best on the team. Her 32 goals were the fourth most scored by a Dartmouth freshman and the most since Lauren Holleran ’95 in 1992. Barry earned second team All-Ivy recognition. A two-sport athlete in high school, she captained both her soccer and lacrosse teams. A member of Thayer Academy’s 2001 Independent School League championship lacrosse team, Kristen was the leading scorer and assist leader for both soccer and lacrosse her sophomore, junior and senior years. An ISL first team All-League and All-Scholastic choice in both soccer and lacrosse, Kristen earned first team All-America, team MVP and NEPSWLA All-Star honors for lacrosse.
Kristen is majoring in sociology.
