Before Dartmouth: A senior captain, Gundrum comes to Dartmouth following an outstanding four-year run at the Emma Willard School in Troy, N.Y. As team captain, she helped lead her squad to a berth in the state finals and a 12-4 overall record. A Section II First-Team All-Star all four years, she was also recognized by local media outlets for her play, garnering Player of the Week honors from both the Troy Record and the Times Union in Albany. A dual-sport threat, Gundrum was also a top field hockey player in high school.
STICK CHECK
What drew you to the Dartmouth Lacrosse Program?
Everything. The very first time I stepped onto Scully-Fahey, I could tell that Dartmouth Lacrosse was different. This team constantly surges with contagious energy. The Dartmouth Lacrosse Program is more than thirty-one girls, four coaches, and a turf field; it is a unit that makes you a better individual, teammate, friend, student, and human being.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I love black & white photography. In high school, if I wasn't in the library or on the field, I was in the dark room!
As a little kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be the female version of the Crocodile Hunter!
What is your favorite place on campus?
The Sanborn Library – The gorgeous architecture, rows of ancient literature, and perfectly sized study spaces make it one of the most amazing locations on campus.
What do you love most about playing on our home field Scully-Fahey?
The breathtaking conifers that encase Scully-Fahey make playing your heart out that much easier. Scully-Fahey is an absolutely beautiful field; playing on Scully reminds me of how lucky I am to be a part of such an incredible program – surrounded by people that want to make you better each day.
