PRINCETON, N.J.- The Dartmouth men's heavyweight team competed in the eight and the four and boated a novice eight at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.

"The Chase was a good chance to test our speed and develop our fitness as we head into the latter half of the fall season," said head coach Topher Bordeau. "Everyone raced hard, and we're grateful for the racing experience."

In the eights competition, Dartmouth took 16th place with a time of 13:56.67, just six tenths of a second away from a top 15 finish. The Big Green also boated a novice eight that took eighth place in the novice competition finishing with a time of 14:28.75.

Dartmouth boated two fours with Dartmouth's top boat taking 16th place with a time of 15:38.84 and the second boat finishing in 36th place with a time of 16:34.14.

Dartmouth is next on the water on Nov. 5 at the annual Green Monster, a novice-only regatta hosted by the Big Green.
