TUESDAY'S GAME
The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team plays host to visiting UConn Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Scully-Fahey Field.
LAST TIME OUT
•   The Big Green are coming off a 15-11 win Saturday against Harvard
•   Dartmouth was led by
Ellie Carson's four goals and a seven-point game from
Kellen D'Alleva thanks to a pair of tallies and five assists.
•  Â
Kiera Vrindten returned from injury to stop eight and earn her second Ivy League win of the season.
THREE IN A ROW
•   For the third time in as many weeks, the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week resides in Hanover as Vrinten was the latest member of the team to win the honor.
•  Â
Kathryn Giroux and
Claire Marshall each took home the accolade in the two weeks prior to Vrindten's first career weekly honor.
RELEASE
RANKED
•   Thanks to five straight wins, Dartmouth jumped back into the national polls this week at No. 25 in the IWLCA Poll.
•   The Green and White were 20th in last week's Inside Lacrosse rankings and remain there as the polls have yet to be updated as of this going live.
SCOUTING UCONN
•   The Huskies are just 2-9 this season, while 0-1 in league play after an 11-9 defeat Saturday at Cincinnati in their most recent outing.
•   Sydney Watson leads the team with 34 points and 24 goals, while Lia Laprise's 14 assists are the most on the team.
•   Three players have 20-plus goals this season for the Huskies, but no other player has more than eight tallies.
•   UConn has used two goalkeepers this season with Grace Beshlian playing in nine and making eight starts, while Annie Carroll has started the other three.
AGAINST THE HUSKIES
•   Tuesday marks just the third all-time meeting between the two schools.
•   Each has one win with the home team coming out on top both times.
•   Dartmouth won in Hanover, 14-11, in 2014 with the Huskies prevailing, 16-10, in Storrs during the 2015 campaign.
IT WAS TOO COLD!
•   These two were originally supposed to play back on March 6, but winter weather conditions in the Upper Valley caused the postponement.
D'ALLEVA DELIVERS
•  Â
Kellen D'Alleva came into her senior season with just 21 points, thanks mostly to 13 as a junior.
•   Through nine games this season, the Manhasset, New York, native has 40 points to lead all Big Green players in scoring.
•   Her 26 assists already rank as the seventh-best single-season figure in program history.
•   She has five games of at least three assists this season, including three of five or more.
•   Her 5.67 per game in Ivy contests is the most of any player in the league this season.
TEAM FACTS AND FIGURES
•   The Big Green are the top offensive team in the Ivy League with 15.56 goals per game. Brown is second with 13.91.
•   Dartmouth's 7.89 assists per game and 71 total assists are both tops in the Ancient Eight.
•   A team that leads in both goals and assists will obviously lead in points per game as well and the Green do so with 23.44 a game.
•   In league games, Dartmouth is averaging 17.0 goals per game, two more than second-best Princeton's 15.0.
•   The 28.33 points per game in Ivy games is also nearly six better than the Tigers (22.50).
•   On a national level, Dartmouth ranks ninth offensively, while the 4.33 scoring margin is 23rd and first in the Ivy League.
•   The 18.0 draws per game as a team is the third-best mark in the NCAA, as are the 38.67 shots.
•   The Big Green's 91.8 % success rate on clears is fourth in the country.
RACE FOR THE RECORD
•   Thanks to 13 draw controls against the Crimson,
Kathryn Giroux pushed her season total to 82.
•   That figure is the third-best single-season total in Dartmouth history behind her previous two seasons of 133 (2018) and 108 (2017).
•   For her career, she has 340, the most in Ivy League history. Izzy Nixon of Yale has 103 this season, but trails Giroux for the all-time lead as she has 330.
•   Her 9.11 draws per game this season rank fourth in the nation and would be the sixth-best figure in NCAA history were she able to maintain that pace.
•   As it stands now, Giroux ranks 16th all-time in NCAA history with 340. Kristen Millar of Vermont (2006-09) is next with 353.
WIN STREAKS
•   The current five-game win streak is the second-best under third-year head coach
Danielle Spencer.
•   The Big Green ripped off seven straight wins last season, including victories against Columbia, Hofstra and Harvard, three teams who have fallen victim to Dartmouth in the current streak.
