BIG GAME FOR THE BIG GREEN AND THE BIG RED
•   Three teams sit atop the Ivy League standings at 4-1 with two playing one another Saturday in Hanover.
•   Both Cornell and Dartmouth have four wins in five conference games with Princeton at the top thanks to its 13-11 win at Penn Wednesday evening. Since Princeton defeated Dartmouth, it owns the tiebreaker and therefore has the top spot right now.
•   The Saturday meeting in Hanover, though, can go a long way in determining a possible league crown when all things shake out by next weekend.
•   Cornell and Princeton play the final game of the year next Saturday in Ithaca, as the Tigers have to play the final three games of the year on the road.
•   Dartmouth heads down I-91 next weekend to play Yale in the 2019 regular season finale.
LET'S TALK SCENARIOS
•   Heading into the penultimate weekend of the Ivy League season, several scenarios are in play on Saturday that can lead to teams clinching spots in the postseason tournament:
o   Winner of Cornell/Dartmouth clinches a tournament berth
o   Princeton clinches a tournament berth with a win Saturday
o   Loser of Cornell/Dartmouth can clinch a tournament berth with a Brown loss Saturday
o   Penn can clinch a tournament berth with a win and a Brown loss Saturday
LAST TIME OUT
•   Dartmouth is coming off a 22-6 win Tuesday afternoon at Vermont in the final non-conference game of the season.
•   Nine different players scored goals and 13 had points in the win.
•  Â
Kierra Sweeney had six goals in the first half, while
Elizabeth Mastrio had a career-high five goals and seven points in the opening stanza.
•  Â
Katie Bourque also had a hat trick in the opening half and
Michelle Yu came off the bench to notch one of her own in the second frame to give the visitors a quartet of players with hat tricks in the game.
•  Â
Kellen D'Alleva had a goal and two assists and now has 36 helpers this season, moving into second place all-time for a single season by a Dartmouth player and now is just three back of tying the program record.
AWARDS FOR 'TIN
•   Following the comeback win Saturday at Penn, Dartmouth's junior goalkeeper
Kiera Vrindten received multiple honors.
•   She was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in three award cycles on Monday afternoon.
•   It was also announced on Wednesday that she was named the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National Defensive Player of the Week all thanks to her season-high 14 saves and the win against the No. 9 Quakers.
SCOUTING CORNELL
•   The Big Red are 8-5 overall and 4-1 in Ancient Eight games.
•   Away from Ithaca, Cornell is 4-3, including 2-1 in conference matchups.
•   Caroline Allen leads the team with 35 goals and 54 points in 13 games this season. Her 19 assists are also the most of anyone on the roster in 2018.
•   Sarah Phillips (31) and Tomasina Leska (20) are the other two Big Red players with at least 20 goals.
•   In goal, Katie McGahan is the go-to keeper as she has a 9.31 goals against average and a .477 save percentage with all eight of the team's wins this year.
BIG GREEN vs. BIG RED
•   Saturday marks the 42nd all-time meeting between the two teams with Dartmouth owning the series at 32-9.
•   After two straight losses, the Big Green bounced back in 2018 with a 19-10 win in Ithaca.
•  Â
Ellie Carson had five goals, while Bourque and Sweeney each had four.
•   Vrindten stopped 14 Cornell shots in the win.
•   Dartmouth is 8-1 at home against Cornell since 2001 with the lone loss coming in the last game played in 2017 (14-12).
LEADING THE WAY
•   With six goals at Vermont,
Kierra Sweeney went over the 50-point mark for the first time in her career as she now has a team-best 54 this season.
•   Her previous best was 46 set last season (39-7-46)
•   Her 44 goals currently rank as the 15th-best figure for a single season in program history.
1 FOR 100
•   Needing just one point for 100 in her career,
Ellie Carson was held off the scoresheet for the first time all season Tuesday afternoon.
•   Taking out last year's semifinal game against Penn in which she was injured in the opening minutes of the contest, this marked her first game played without a point since her freshman season (April 29, 2017), a streak of 23 straight games.
3 FOR 100… AND 4, TOO!
•   Thanks to her five goals in Burlington, senior
Elizabeth Mastrio now has 97 career goals, leaving her just three shy of the century mark.
•   Were she to reach the mark, she would become the 18th player in program history to hit 100 career goals.
•   Mastrio also has 96 career draw controls, a figure that currently ranks ninth at Dartmouth. Another four and she would tie Kristen Barry '08 for eighth.
12TH ALL-TIME
•   Thanks to nine draw controls at Vermont,
Kathryn Giroux moved into 12th place all-time in NCAA history with 377 for her career.
•   Her 119 this season rank as the second best in program history.
•   The 9.15 per game rank third of any player in the nation.
•   Giroux owns the top-three seasons of draw controls in program history: 133 (2018), 119 (2019) and 108 (2017).
•   How dominant has Giroux been on the draw? Sarah Plumb '12 was the previous record holder for career draw controls at Dartmouth with 155, a mark that is now 222 back of Giroux's current standing.
AS A TEAM…
•   Dartmouth is eighth nationally in scoring offense (15.92), jumping up two spots following the game at Vermont.
•   The Big Green's 93.4% success rate on clears is second in the country behind only Maryland (94.3%)
•   The team is fourth in both draw controls per game (17.62) and draw control percentage (61.4%) this season.
•   The 38.15 shots per game rank third in Division I, while the 27.54 on goal are fifth.
•   The scoring defense also improved thanks to allowing just six goals to the Catamounts. The 10.85 goals allowed per game is 39th nationally and fourth in the Ivy League.
•   The Big Green's 5.08 scoring margin is 15th in the country and leads the conference with Princeton the next closest at 3.54 (26th).
