SATURDAY'S GAME
•   The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team opens Ivy League play Saturday at noon against Brown in Providence.
LAST TIME OUT
•   The Big Green improved to 2-0 on the season thanks to a 16-8 win in the 2020 home opener against Boston University.
•   Dartmouth was led by a career day from senior
Katie Bourque, who had five goals and seven points to go along with seven draw controls.
•   The home team's defense held the potent BU attack to just eight goals in the game, including just three in the second half.
•   Additionally,
Sophia Turchetta had three goals, while
Claire Marshall,
Ellie Carson and
Veta Mayer all scored twice in the game
WEEKLY WINNER
•   For her play against the Terriers, Bourque was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
•   Bourque had previously earned defensive honors last March and two all-conference, but had not been named the conference's top offensive player over a week's time before.
•   Bourque is the only non-Penn player to earn an Ivy accolade this year.
THE RANKINGS
•   Dartmouth continued its run up the rankings thanks to its eight-goal win against BU.
    o   IWLCA: 16th (up from #19)
    o   Inside Lacrosse: 15th (up from #18)
o   US Lacrosse Magazine: 15th (up from #16)

SCOUTING BROWN
•   The Bears are coming off their first loss of the season in their third game. No. 17 Boston College held off the pesky visitors from Providence to claim a 13-10 win in Chestnut Hill.
•   Brown had started the season with wins at Bryant (12-7) and Siena (18-8).
•   Sophia DeRosa and Claire Jeschke are tied for the team lead with nine points this season. DeRosa leads the team with eight goals with Jeschke one back for second.
•   Erin Tucker has played in all but three of Brown's 180 minutes in goal, posting a .449 save percentage and a 9.11 goals against average in that time.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE BEARS
•   Dartmouth won last year's meeting in Hanover, 15-11, pushing the all-time series to 33-13-1.
•   The Big Green have lost just three times in the last 22 meetings between the two. However, two of those losses have come in the last four years as the programs have alternated victories.
•   The story of the game last year was senior
Kellen D'Alleva '19 having a career day with eight points on two goals and six assists. That game helped her eventually set a new Dartmouth single-season assist record with 46 in 2019.
ANOTHER FIRST!
•   Just before halftime against the Terriers, rookie
Mimi Lazore found the back of the net for the first goal of her career.
•   She joins
Katie Elders as the only first-year players to notch goals in the season's first two games.
