BACK ON THE ROAD
After three straight games on home turf, the Dartmouth women's lacrosse team hits the road for a non-conference matchup against the Georgetown Hoyas. Opening draw is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Cooper Field.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green concluded their three-game homestand with a non-conference tilt with Siena on Saturday. The contest went down to the wire, with the Saints taking the win, 14-13, in overtime.
Boo Dewitt led Dartmouth with six points after scoring four goals and assisting on two.
Katina Christensen also finished with a hat-trick.
Maja Desmond had three draw controls, two caused turnovers, and one ground ball.
THE STATS
Christensen leads the Big Green in goals with 13. Dewitt is second with 11 while
Catherine Erb is third with six. Dewitt has a team-high five assists.
Samantha Bennett and
Lucy Murray are both second with four assists each.
Desmond is leading the way in caused turnovers with six.
Nieve Donegan and
Meriwether Florence have four each, good for second for the Big Green.
Isabella Godsick leads Dartmouth in draw controls with 23 and
Margaret Maruszewski is currently second with 17.
Gisele Todd has started all five games in goal for the Big Green this season and has made 33 saves while leading the team in ground balls with 11.
SCOUTING GEORGETOWN
Georgetown enters Tuesday's game with a 4-5 overall record. The Hoyas fell to Maryland, 13-4, in their previous outing last Wednesday.
Erin Bakes leads Georgetown in goals with 21. Emma Gebhardt is second with 20 and Kylie Hazen is third with 17. Hazen has a team-high 14 assists.
Nicole Massimino and Olivia Buckman are both in double digits for caused turnovers with 16 and 12, respectively. Massimino also leads the Hoyas in ground balls with 21.
Emily Gaven and Leah Warehime have both played in every game in goal for Georgetown. They have combined to make 84 saves and have a combined save percentage of .442.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE HOYAS
Facing Georgetown for just the third time in program history, the Big Green hold a 2-0 all-time record over the Hoyas. The two teams met for the first time in 1991 in Washington, D.C., with the Big Green winning by a score of 15-5. They met again in 2005 at Scully-Fahey Field in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. Dartmouth took the win, 13-3, to advance to the semifinals.
