The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team closes out its non-conference slate on Tuesday evening with a trip to twin-state rival Vermont. Opening draw is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Virtue Field.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green won their third straight game with a 16-8 victory over Columbia on Saturday afternoon in NYC. Facing a 3-2 deficit late in the opening quarter, Dartmouth scored the next eight goals to take a commanding 10-3 lead.
Catherine Erb led all scorers with five goals.
Katie Elders tallied four goals while
Samantha Bennett scored two and assisted two.
Jenna Donohue finished with two assists, eight draw controls, two caused turnovers, and one ground ball.
WEEKLY HONORS FOR DESMOND
Maja Desmond was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after her performances in a 2-0 week for the Big Green. Desmond finished the week with seven draw controls, two caused turnovers, and two ground balls.
Desmond also had a standout game against UMass Lowell, putting up a career-high six points after scoring three goals and providing three assists.

Erb leads Dartmouth in goals with 28 this season.
Katina Christensen sits second with 25 and
Boo Dewitt is third with 17.
Lucy Murray has a team-high 13 assists while Bennett is right behind with 12.
Nieve Donegan has a team-high 10 caused turnovers and
Sophia Franco is second with nine.
Isabella Godsick is up to 61 draw controls this season and is third in the Ivy League for draw controls per game with 5.08.
Gisele Todd has started all 12 games in goal for the Big Green, making 100 saves and has a save percentage of .431, the third-highest mark in the league. Todd also leads Dartmouth in ground balls with 25.
Erb's shooting percentage of .583 ranks first in the Ancient Eight.
SCOUTING VERMONT
Vermont enters the weekend with a 5-7 overall record and a 2-2 record in America East play. The Catamounts fell to Rutgers, 15-7, on Saturday afternoon in their previous outing.
Ava Vasile leads Vermont in goals with 31 while Jane Trauger is second with 28. Claire Adelhelm has a team-high 20 assists, the lone player in double digits.
Carolyn Carrera has 42 caused turnovers this season and leads America East in caused turnovers per game with 3.50, the second-most in Division I this year. Carrera also leads Vermont in ground balls with 38 and Vasile has a team-high 50 draw controls.
Sophie McLaughlin has started all 12 games in goal for the Catamounts. McLaughlin has made 87 saves and has allowed 119 goals for a save percentage of .422.
Vermont has played two Ivy League teams this season. They fell to Yale, 17-6, and defeated Harvard, 12-7.
Former Dartmouth assistant coach Jessica Drummond is in her seventh season on the Vermont coaching staff and has served as the associate head coach since September of 2019. Drummond spent three seasons on the Big Green coaching staff after joining in August of 2013.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE CATAMOUNTS
The Big Green are 23-7-1 all-time against the Catamounts. Vermont claimed the win the last time the two teams played as they defeated Dartmouth, 14-3, at Scully-Fahey Field a season ago.
Dartmouth picked up the victory in its last trip to Vermont back in 2019, winning by a score of 22-6.
