HOW THE BIG GREEN MAKE THE TOURNAMENT
As things stand, the Big Green sit fifth in the league heading into the final game. Dartmouth can slide into the top four but would need some help along the way. First, let's look at the matchups for the final weekend:
Saturday, April 29
Yale at Columbia 1 p.m.
Dartmouth at Penn 1 p.m.
Brown at Cornell 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 30
Harvard at Princeton 12 p.m.
A Dartmouth win would put the Big Green in prime position to make the Ivy League tournament.
There is only one scenario in which Dartmouth wins on Saturday but does not make the tournament. For that to happen, Cornell has to beat Brown, Yale beats Columbia, and Harvard beats Princeton.
However, there is one scenario in which a Big Green loss would not end the season. For Dartmouth to make the tournament with a loss, Brown needs to beat Cornell by one goal, Columbia beats Yale, Penn beats Dartmouth by one or two goals, and Princeton beats Harvard.
The Ivy League tournament is scheduled for the first weekend of May at Penn Park. The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, May 5, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. with the championship game scheduled for 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 7. All three games in the Ivy League tournament will air on ESPN+.
