Lightweight Rowing Team Falls to Yale in Durand Cup

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Dartmouth's lightweight rowing team faced Yale in the annual Durand Cup on Saturday. The Bulldogs won their third consecutive cup after finishing first in all four races.
To start the day off, Yale's Varsity 8 boat completed the 2,000-meter course with a time of 5:48.7 and was followed soon after by Dartmouth with a time of 5:56.0.
In the second Varsity 8 event, the Bulldogs raced to a 5:56.6, while the Big Green logged a 6:02.06.
Yale's third Varsity 8 crew won with a 6:02.04 and Dartmouth finished with a time of 6:12.0. The Green's fourth Varsity 8 ended the weekend by crossing the line in 6:23.3, behind the Bulldogs with their time of 6:08.6.
Dartmouth will have a weekend off from competition, returning to the water on Saturday, May 2 to face Cornell in the Baggaley Bowl.
