Women's Rowing Ties for Seventh at 2015 Ivy League Championship

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Dartmouth women's rowing team wrapped up competition at the 2015 Ivy League Women's Rowing Championship at Cooper River Park on Sunday.

After racing in two Grand Finals and three Petite Finals, the Big Green tied for seventh with Columbia with 17 points. Brown won both the team trophy with 87 point and the Ivy League title after finishing first in the varsity eight race.

Dartmouth's varsity four B started the day bright and early by coming in fourth place in the second heat with a time of 7:58.326. In the Petite Final, Columbia was first in 7:39.329 and was followed by the Green with a time of 8:03.276.

The Green's second varsity eight crew finished in fourth with a 6:46.710. Alongside Columbia in the Petite Final, Dartmouth came first in 6:49.477, completing the course ahead of the Lions with their time of 6:55.348.

In the varsity four A, the Big Green placed second in the first heat (fourth overall) with a time of 7:17.455. Later that day in the Grand Final, they logged a time of 7:37.220 to take sixth, finishing less than six seconds behind Radcliffe with its time of 7:31.360.

Racing in heat one of the varsity eight race, Dartmouth finished in 6:39.396 to take fourth. Against Penn in the Petite Final, the Big Green were second with a time of 6:43.465, while the Quakers narrowly edged them in 6:39.296. Dartmouth's time of 6:59.728 in the third varsity race earned it a seventh-place finish in the Grand Final of the event.
