The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team is on the road Friday afternoon, taking on Columbia in New York City in a 5 p.m. game
LAST TIME OUT
•   The Big Green returned from their midseason exams break to defeat UMass, 19-7, Sunday afternoon at home.

Ellie Carson scored four times, as did
Katie Bourque with the latter adding an assist for a five-point afternoon.

Campbell Brewer and
Kierra Sweeney each added three goals of their own.
•   Dartmouth held an offense than ranked fifth in the nation coming into the game to nine goals below its average and a team that was leading the nation in draws to 11 below its average.
300!!
•   With her fifth of six draw controls against the Lions,
Kathryn Giroux reached 300 for her career.
•   The senior and team captain entered the season with 258 in her career and has tacked on 43 so far in 2019.
•   She and Yale senior Izzy Nixon are currently battling it out for the most in Ivy League history as the two are the only players to have reached the 300-mark in conference history. With 83 this season, Nixon moved into the lead with 310 for her career, while Giroux sits at 301.
•   Giroux has nine regular season games remaining to Nixon's eight with possible Ivy League Tournament games as well.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
•   Columbia comes into Friday's game with a 3-6 overall mark and an 0-2 record in Ivy League play.
•   The Lions opened the conference season with a 19-1 loss at No. 14 Princeton and then its Ivy home opener to Cornell, 12-9, a week later.
•   Since, the team has defeated UConn, 13-7, and dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Villanova, 11-10.
•   Lindsey Ewertsen is the driving force behind the team's offense, leading the way with 34 points and 18 assists. Her 16 goals rank second only to Alexandria Absey's 18, while Absey has just 19 points total.
•   Columbia uses two goalkeepers, with Abby Roberts playing more and posting better numbers, but with just one win to Ryan Schlageter's two.
AGAINST COLUMBIA
•   After losing to the Lions in 2017 for the first time ever, Dartmouth bounced back in a big way in last season's Hanover meeting, pushing the all-time series record to 20-1.
•   The Big Green rolled to a 20-10 victory against the visitors led by five goals each from Brewer and Carson.
•   The Green had scored 19 goals five previous times against Columbia, but set a new mark in the series with the Lions when they hit 20 with 12:28 remaining in the second half. It marked the sixth time in program history that Dartmouth had scored 20 goals in an Ivy League game and the first since 2007.
FIRST START, FIRST WIN
•   Freshman
Becca Wade made her first career start in goal for the Green and White on Sunday.
•   Wade was tremendous as she stopped seven shots and picked up the win, the first of her career.
AWARD SEASON
•   For their part in the win over UMass, Bourque and Giroux were recognized with weekly honors
•   Giroux was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career.
•   Bourque was tabbed as the Dartmouth Cape Air Female Athlete of the Week.

WHAT'S AHEAD?
Dartmouth has a busy week ahead following Friday's game as it hosts Hofsta Tuesday (March 2) and Harvard next Saturday (March 30). The following week will also feature a Tuesday game against UConn (April 2) and then again on Saturday versus Princeton (April 6) to cap the four-game homestand.
