TUESDAY'S GAME
The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team will play its final non-conference game of the season Tuesday afternoon at Vermont. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
•   The Big Green head to Burlington with an 8-4 overall record thanks to a 15-11 victory Saturday at No. 9 Penn.
•   Trailing for nearly the entire first half and the opening 10 minutes of the second, Dartmouth used an 8-1 run to its advantage and turned the deficit into a lead it would not relinquish.
•  Â
Kierra Sweeney and
Ellie Carson both finished with four points on the afternoon. Sweeney scored three times with the first of the day marking her 100th career goal. Carson found the back of the net four times in the win with three coming in the second-half surge.
•  Â
Kellen D'Alleva controlled a lot of the Dartmouth attack, finishing with a goal and five assists for a game-high six points. Thanks to her fifth game of four or more assists this season, D'Alleva now has 34 on the year.
•   Goalkeeper
Kiera Vrindten made 14 saves in the game.
•   It marked the first Dartmouth win against Penn since 2016 and just the third in the regular season against the Quakers in the last 12 years.
RANKED
•   Thanks to the win in the City of Brotherly Love, the Green and White moved up eight spots from No. 21 to No. 13 in the latest Inside Lacrosse National Poll.
•   In the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll, Dartmouth moved from No. 24 to No. 20.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
•   For the second time in the last three weeks, Vrindten was tabbed as the top defensive player amongst the Ancient Eight teams.
•   For Vrindten, it is just the second time in her career, despite being the Ivy League Goalkeeper of the Year last spring.
•   This most recent honor marked the fourth time in the last five weeks that it has gone to a Dartmouth player:
Kathryn Giroux (1),
Claire Marshall (1) and Vrindten (2).
SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
•   Vermont is 7-5 overall this season and 1-4 in America East games.
•   The team is in the midst of a four-game losing streak.
•   Tuesday also marks the final non-conference contest of the season for the Catamounts as well.
•   Jenna Janes leads the team with 44 points this season on 30 goals and 14 helpers.
•   Elise Koehl's 37 goals are the most on the roster, while Alex Vinona has a UVM-best 33 assists.
•   Maddy Kuras has started all 12 games this season and has a 10.70 goals against average and a .423 save percentage.
•   Vermont assistant coach Jess Drummond was a member of the Dartmouth staff for three seasons before moving on to join the Catamounts for the 2017 season.
AGAINST VERMONT
•   Dartmouth leads the all-time series, 22-6-1.
•   The Catamounts had won three straight at the expense of the Big Green prior to last season's 16-5 home victory in Hanover.
•   Dartmouth jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the game and finished with just three goals in the second half.
•   Leading the way was
Michelle Yu and her three goals.
Kellen D'Alleva scored three with
Sophia Turchetta and
Kierra Sweeney both scoring twice.
MOVING UP THE RECORD BOOKS
•   With her 34 assists this season, D'Alleva is now tied for second place all-time for helpers in a single season.
•   The senior had tied Whitney Douthett's 2006 mark for the second-best figure.
•   However, Douthett need 20 games to reach the mark, while D'Alleva has been able to reach that figure in eight fewer games.
•   Jen Green's 39 assists in 1998 remains the program standard.
MOVING UP THE RECORD BOOKS PART 2
•   Thanks to six draw controls against the Quakers,
Kathryn Giroux now has 110 this season.
•   Giroux remains the only Dartmouth player in program history with 100 or more draw controls in a single year, a feat she has now accomplished in three straight campaigns.
•   Her 133 last year is the program record with this year's figure now ranking second, two more than her 108 as a sophomore.
•   The 368 career draw controls Giroux has amassed now ranks 13th all-time in NCAA history, two away from tying Colorado's Darby Kiernan for 12th with 370.
•   Yale senior Izzy Nixon now has 363 and is second all-time in the Ivy League behind Giroux with a matchup pitting the two against one another in the final game of the regular season next Saturday in New Haven.
ONE MORE FOR ONE HUNDRED
•   Junior
Ellie Carson needs just one more point to reach 100 for her career.
•   Carson has 75 goals and 24 assists in 39 career games, leaving her just one short of the milestone figure.
TWO MORE FOR 50
•  Â
Kierra Sweeney needs just two points for 50 this season.
•   Already, her 48 points are a new career high, passing her previous high by two set last season.
•   She is one goal off her career mark of 39 set last season, while her 10 assists are four shy of the 14 she had as a sophomore in 2017.
