Women's Rowing
vs Gardner Cup
Q and A with Anna
Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because I wanted to attend a small school and be on a rowing team.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I've been involved with crew since the spring of my freshman year in high school. There was a morning announcement encouraging students to try out for the crew team, and I did on a whim and loved it. I rowed for my entire first season before becoming a coxswain.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I played soccer at a somewhat serious level in high school, and as a result I never did crew in the fall. I'd never experienced a race longer than 2k until I came to Dartmouth.
What extra curricular activities are you involved with on campus?
I sing in the Dodecaphonics, a co-ed a cappella group.
What are your future plans, if any?
I'm not certain -- at Dartmouth I'm just studying what interests me, and we'll see where it leads. I love writing and music, so hopefully I'll end up doing something with both of those interests.
