Women's Rowing Heads Back to Boston to Face Yale and BU

BOSTON, Mass. – For the second weekend in a row, the Dartmouth women's rowing team traveled to Boston, this time taking on Boston University and Yale on Saturday.

The Green's Varsity 4A crew opened the day bright and early by finishing in second with a time of 9:02.1, trailing BU for the first half of the race before finding another gear to push past the Terriers and finish in second. Dartmouth's first Varsity 8 logged a time of 7:40.70, while Yale completed the course with a 7:12.8 and BU clocked a 7:37.1.

In the second Varsity 8 race, the Bulldogs rowed a 7:32.6, the Big Green finished with a time of 7:53.6 and the Terriers came in third in 7:56.4. Dartmouth's Varsity 4B crew was sandwiched between its two opponents in the results, rowing a 9:18.1 to Yale's 8:23.6 and BU's 9:32.5.

Northeastern joined in on the fun by entering a third Varsity 8 boat. Yale, once again, finished atop the standings with a time of 8:13.3 and Dartmouth was second in 8:35.8, leaving a sizeable gap between it at Northeastern, who was third in 9:16.2. BU followed a few hundredths of a second later in 9:16.7.

Next Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, the Big Green will take part in the Clemson Invitational.
