Women's Rowing
vs Gardner Cup
Q and A with Erin
Why Dartmouth?
I choose Dartmouth because of the people. I like the access to the outdoors, and the size of the school. I like having the opportunity to interact directly with my professors. I love Dartmouth because of the passion my peers have for whatever they do.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I have been rowing since my freshman year in high school. I got interested in rowing because my high school had a team. My sister was on the rowing team, and told me that I should not try it, because I would not like it, and would never be any good at rowing. Naturally, I tried rowing, and fell in love with the sport.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I play the bagpipes, and until coming to college I was a competitive Highland Dancer.
What extra curricular activities are you involved with on campus?
I am a leader in Cabin and Trails, and involved in the DOC. I am also in Epsilon Kappa Theta sorority.
What are your future plans, if any?
In my immediate future I would like to pursue a B.E. at Thayer School of engineering, and graduate from Dartmouth with a double major in Engineering and Mathematics, and a minor in Astronomy. I am not sure what I want to do upon graduation, but I want to learn and experience as much as I can until then.
