I was most interested in Dartmouth because of the quality and variety of students who attend the school. Their shared and strong love for the school was evident when I visited. However, I was fascinated by most students' sincere humility, despite their spectacular accomplishments as individuals. I also love the Upper Valley and the campus' natural beauty.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I walked on to the heavyweight team my freshman year here because the sport sounded unique and challenging. After initially signing up for a lightweight practice, I was told I should "go over to the heavyweights" because they needed a few more rowers that day. I've loved rowing on this team ever since.
Have you won any academic or athletic awards lately?
No. Tell me something interesting about you that might surprise your teammates.
I eat way too much ice cream and dark chocolate.
What are your future plans, if any?.
Although I am not set in my career aspirations, I would like to continue my study of Arabic language while living and working in the Middle East.
